Directrice artistique de la compagnie Winter story in the wild jungle, l’artiste Sarah Trouche vit et travaille entre Saint Laurent du Médoc et Paris. Avec le festival Perform, elle fait découvrir chaque été son univers artistique aux habitants de sa région d’enfance. La performance est considérée par l’artiste comme un espace de rencontre, un partage d’émotion autour d’un moment unique. Cette dimension performative apparaît dans une programmation d’envergure nationale et internationale qui couvre à la fois les champs de l’art contemporain, des arts numériques et des arts vivants.
Artist Sarah Trouche is the artistic director of the Winter Story in the Wild Jungle Company; she lives and works between Saint Laurent du Médoc and Paris. Each summer, with Perform Festival, she shows her artistic universe to the inhabitants of her childhood region. The performance is thought by the artist as a meeting space, a sharing of emotions around a unique moment. This performative dimension is part of a programme of national and international scope that covers at once the fields of contemporary art, digital arts and performing arts.

Une civilisation écologique est une civilisation qui se construit selon les principes de l'écosystème dans lequel elle se situe. Les organismes prospèrent lorsqu'ils développent de multiples relations symbiotiques, dans lesquelles chaque partie à une relation prend et donne réciproquement. Jusqu'à présent, la civilisation a été pensée comme antagoniste à la nature, et signifiait la conquérir pour satisfaire les besoins humains. Cependant, nous savons maintenant que la forme la plus élevée de civilisation est celle qui est en harmonie avec la nature.
Lors du festival Perform 2023 , les artistes invités en résidence en Médoc vont réfléchir à ce territoire et son enclave entre Terre et Mer.
Des ateliers jeunesses et personnes âgées auront lieu du 14 au 18 aout avec les centres aérées de la communauté des communes Médoc coeur de Presqu’ile et dans l’ehpad des Acacias.
Une après midi performative aura lieu le mercredi 16 aout entre 14 h et 19 h sur la liaison du Bac Blaye-Lamarque ainsi que le samedi 19 aout de 9 h à 13 h à l'embarcadère de la liaison du Verdon à Royan.
Le vendredi 18 aout à 20 h, une soirée artistique gratuite exceptionnelle aura lieu au Domaine de Nodris sur la commune de Vertheuil.
Un apéritif fraternel avec buvette sur site accueillera les visiteurs , après quelques verres de vins du Médoc, et des planches de produits locaux , la soirée se poursuivra à la nuit tombée par différentes performances artistiques de moins de 30 min dans les extérieurs du domaine.

An ecological civilization is one that is built according to the principles of the ecosystem in which it is situated. Organisms prosper when they develop multiple symbiotic relationships, wherein each party to a relationship both takes and gives reciprocally.” Up until now, civilization has been thought as antagonistic to nature, and has meant conquering it to satisfying human needs. However, we now know that the highest form of civilization is one that is in harmony with nature.
During the Festival Perform 2023 , artists in residence will reflect on this territory and its enclave between land and sea.
Workshops for young people and the elderly will take place from August 14 to 18 .
A performative afternoon will take place on Wednesday August 16 between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on the Ferry Bac Blaye-Lamarque and on the 19 th morning from 9 to 1 pm at the bac at the Verdon.
On Friday August 18 at 8 p.m., an exceptional free artistic evening will take place at the Domaine de Nodris in the town of Vertheuil.
A fraternal aperitif with refreshment bar on site will welcome visitors, after a few glasses of Médoc wines, and plates of local products, the exceptional evening will continue at nightfall with various artistic performances outside the estate.

The Forms of the Living
Dans le médoc, au fin fond du sud Ouest de la France le festival Perform présentera sa
3ème édition en août prochain le 19 août 2022 au domaine de Nodris.
En plusieurs événements, cette manifestation pensera «les Vivants » sous toutes ses formes. Comment le lien direct entre les Vivant a-t-il été rompu ? Une reconnexion à la Nature est-elle encore possible ?
Sur ce fil rouge, les artistes accueillis mettront la performance à l’honneur en traversant ce qu’elle défend dans l’art contemporain, en représentant ses échos dans les arts vivants et ceux qui parcourent l’art numérique.
Pensée par Sarah Trouche, PERFORM veut fédérer,
rassembler tout le monde en festoyant deux jours de fêtes bacchanales performatives (et entièrement gratuites !) en proposant des randonnées performatives pour explorer la région et des ateliers pour les plus jeunes et les plus âgés.
Quoi de plus judicieux pour repenser le patrimoine matériel et immatériel de terres rurales
trop souvent oubliées que la performance, un médium étrangement considéré ?
In the Médoc region, in the depths of south-west France, the PERFORM festival will take place for the 3rd time next August, on 19 August 2022 at the Domaine de Nodris.
The festival will host several events that will explore "the Living" in all its forms. How has the
direct link between Living things been broken? Is a reconnection with Nature still possible?
With this narrative arc, the hosted artists will give pride of place to performance by going through what it stands for in contemporary art, by representing its echoes in the living arts and those that run through digital art. Thought out by Sarah Trouche, PERFORM wants to federate and bring everyone together by celebrating with two days of performative (and entirely free!) bacchanalian parties, by proposing performative hikes to explore the region
and workshops for the youngest and the oldest.
What better way to rethink the tangible and intangible heritage of often forgotten rural lands
than through the strangely considered medium of performance?

La compagnie organise un festival annuel, "Festival Perform" autour de l’art contemporain, les arts numériques et la performance sous toutes ses formes. L’association participe à la visibilité des artistes contemporains en valorisant la ruralité, avec les acteurs locaux et associatifs autour de créations pluridisciplinaires et de programmes d’actions territoriales artistiques.
Winter Story In The Wild Jungle is a collaborative project under the artistic direction of Sarah Trouche. The company organizes “Festival Perform,” an annual celebration of contemporary, digital, and performance art that hosts multidisciplinary artists for a creative residency, and offers them a forum to present their work. By gathering these artists, and with the support of local partners and volunteers, the company aims to promote the countryside and its community
